{"id":1872,"date":"2022-10-18T13:09:59","date_gmt":"2022-10-18T13:09:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.diplomacypakistan.com\/?p=1872"},"modified":"2022-10-18T13:09:59","modified_gmt":"2022-10-18T13:09:59","slug":"all-measures-in-place-to-safeguard-nuclear-assets-pakistan-army","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.diplomacypakistan.com\/?p=1872","title":{"rendered":"All measures in place to safeguard nuclear assets: Pakistan Army"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pakistan Army commanders on Tuesday reposed full confidence in the country\u2019s robust nuclear command and control structure and security arrangements related to strategic assets, the military\u2019s media wing said in a statement after the 252nd Corps Commanders\u2019 Conference held at GHQ.<br \/>\nChief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa presided over the conference.<br \/>\nThe military top brass met today and took a \u201ccomprehensive review of the prevailing internal and external security situation and operational preparedness\u201d of the army.<br \/>\nUS President Joe Biden\u2019s statement about Pakistan\u2019s nuclear programme also came under discussion during the conference.<br \/>\n\u201cAs a responsible nuclear weapon state, Pakistan has taken all measures necessary to strengthen its nuclear security regime, at par with international best practices,\u201d the forum was informed.<br \/>\nThe meeting was also apprised of the army\u2019s assistance to civil administration for relief and rehabilitation efforts in the flood-affected areas and post-flood situation, particularly in Sindh and Balochistan.<br \/>\nWhile expressing satisfaction over the operational preparedness of the formations, the COAS reiterated Pakistan Army\u2019s resolve to defend the motherland against all threats.<br \/>\nHe lauded formations\u2019 operational readiness and sustained efforts during flood relief duties.<br \/>\nLast week, US President Joe Biden&#8217;s off-the-cuff remarks on Pakistan&#8217;s nuclear programme at a private Democratic Party fundraiser in California had caused an uproar.<br \/>\n&#8220;And what I think is maybe one of the most dangerous nations in the world: Pakistan.
