The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday suspended sentence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his spouse, Bushra Bibi, in the Toshakhana case. IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq said appeal against the punishment would be fixed for hearing after Eid holidays. On January 31, an accountability court judge found former premier Imran and his spouse guilty of misusing the state\u2019s gift repository and sentenced them to 14 years in prison. The court also slapped a fine of Rs787 million each on the accused individuals in what is being described as the most swiftly concluded trial in accountability courts\u2019 history.
