Karachi –Lieutenant Adeel Rana and Detective Elvis Vukelj of the New York Police Division held a panel dialogue on group policing with legislation and criminology graduate college students on the U.S. Consulate Normal Karachi. Each Rana and Vukelj are members of the Muslim Officer’s Affiliation and have intensive expertise working with immigrant communities in New York.
“We’re excited to be right here in Pakistan and to share our experiences” stated Lieutenant Rana, who immigrated to New York from Pakistan within the 1980s. Karachi and New York, he stated, are each dynamic mega-cities with various populations, and police in each cities face related challenges. “We wish to share our data of group policing within the hope that our counterparts right here can be taught from these experiences.”
The U.S. State Division funded Rana’s and Vukelj’s go to. Whereas in Pakistan, they’re showcasing the optimistic affect of American Muslims in the US.
