A two-day Worldwide Workshop on Cultural Heritage and Archaeology of Pakistan opened in Berlin on Thursday. German State Minister for Overseas Affairs, Prof. Dr. Maria Boehmer was the Chief Visitor on the Inaugural Session of the workshop. In her handle, the German State Secretary reiterated her Authorities’s help for preservation, safety and growth of information base for the historic websites and antiques in Pakistan, mentioned a press assertion issued right here on Thursday.
She welcomed the Pakistani delegates and congratulated the organizers for holding this essential workshop, which would supply a possibility to consultants and archaeologists to look into valuable cultural heritage of Pakistan.
Ms. Sharmila Faruqui, Particular Assistant to the Chief Minister, Sindh, on Tradition, Tourism and Antiquities Division talking on this event mentioned that after the devolution of Tradition, Tourism and Archaeology topics to the provinces by means of 18th modification within the structure, the Sindh Authorities has taken numerous steps to protect and shield the cultural heritage together with essential historic websites and land mark buildings within the province.
The province went on to develop three full-fledged directorates to handle Archaeology, Conservation and Examine of Heritage. Institute for the preservation of the Artifacts is being established in Thatta, she added.
