Shabbar Zaidi’s Appointment as chairman FBR Challenged in IHC

The appointment of the Syed Shabbar Zaidi as Federal Board of Income (FBR) chairman was challenged within the Islamabad Excessive Courtroom (IHC) on Friday.

Based on particulars, Ali Muhammad, a grade-19 officer of Inland Income, moved the petition within the IHC.

He said in his petition that the federal government appointed Zaidi as FBR chairman on Might 9 on an “honorary foundation/professional bono foundation.”

“Based on the legislation laid down by the IHC, beneath the FBR Act, an individual from the personal sector could also be appointed the chairman of the FBR within the distinctive and extraordinary circumstances via a duly marketed course of,” the petitioner argued.

Therefore, the petitioner pleaded with the court docket to declare his appointment as unlawful, with none lawful authority and of no authorized impact.
