Nobody is above the regulation: DG ISPR

Director Common (DG) Inter-Providers Public Relations (ISPR), Main Common Asif Ghafoor has stated that an efficient and strict accountability course of exist in armed forces which is clear from sentences awarded by Chief of Military Workers (COAS) Common Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Main Gen Ghafoor stated sentences awarded to 3 together with two military males and a civilian got in three separate circumstances.

“Officers got stern punishment on the crime that they had dedicated”, the DG ISPR stated.

He additional stated that nobody is above the regulation.

Earlier on Thursday, Chief of Military Workers Common Qamar Javed Bajwa had signed loss of life warrants for a retired Brigadier and a health care provider together with awarding 14 years imprisonment to a Lt. Common (retd.).

In line with Inter Providers Public Relations (ISPR), “Two officers particularly Brigadier Raja Rizwan (Retd) and a civilian officer Dr. Waseem Akram have been awarded loss of life sentences by COAS together with awarding 14 years price of imprisonment to Lt. Common Javed Iqbal (Retd).”

Following are the names and punishments of these being penalised by the Armed Forces:

  1. Retired Lieutenant Common Javed Iqbal – Awarded 14 years rigorous imprisonment.
  2. Retired Brigadier Raja Rizwan – Awarded Dying Sentence.
  3. Physician Wasim Akram (Employed at a Delicate Organisation) – Awarded Dying Sentence.

“The officers have been tried below Pakistan Military Act (PAA) and Official Secret Act by separate Subject Common Courtroom Martial (FGCM) for separate circumstances,” learn an announcement issued by ISPR.
