Kashmir: Hurriyet leaders stay below detention

Name for holding of the demonstrations after Juma prayers has been collectively given by the highest pro-freedom leaders, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to protest towards India’s plans to assemble separate colonies for retired Indian troopers and Kashmiri Pandits, harassment of Jammu Muslims, Delhi’s so-called Industrial Coverage in Kashmir and detention of Hurriyet leaders.

The occupation authorities proceed to put Hurriyet leaders and activists together with Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi, Raja Merajuddin Kalwal, Javaid Ahmed Mir, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Showkat Ahmed Bakhshi, Ayaz Akbar and Shahid-ul-Islam below home arrest or behind the bars.

India police additionally arrested dozens of Hurriyet leaders and activists together with Hakeem Abdul Rasheed, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Mohammad Yasin Atai, Hilal Ahmad Struggle, Qazi Yasir and Mohammad Ahsan Untoo.

In the meantime, individuals have hoisted black flags on the rooftops of their homes and autos to register their protest towards Indian plans.
