He mentioned Thursday the airplane had been carrying 9 folks when it crashed on take-off from Camp Dwyer, a navy airport in Helmand province, a day earlier.
He says two survivors have been flown to Kandahar Airfield for therapy. The passengers are believed to be jap European, the spokesman says.
There was “no navy involvement” within the crash, he says, including that one of many airplane’s wings clipped the runway because it was taking off at 2.30 p.m. native time.
