Kabul (dpa) – A group of 36 rejected Afghan asylum seekers who were deported from Germany arrived in Kabul on Thursday, Afghan airport officials said.
The flight landed around 8 am [0330GMT] in Kabul, the officials said.
It marked the 29th deportation flight from Germany that has landed in Afghanistan since December 2016.
Since a total of 756 failed Afghan asylum seekers were sent back to Afghanistan.
The deportations have been deeply controversial in Germany, with critics saying the war-torn country is too dangerous to send asylum seekers back.
Almost daily attacks from the Taliban and Islamic militants are taking a toll on civilians in the country.
The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has documented over 2,500 civilians dead and more than 5,600 wounded in the first nine months of the year.
