SC directs native fertiliser firm to offer subsidy

Asserting the decision on the Kissan Package deal case at the moment (Monday), the Supreme Court docket has directed an area fertiliser firm to offer subsidy and ordered the involved authorities to get imported fertiliser examined from the laboratory.

A two-member bench of the apex court docket, headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, introduced the choice on the federal authorities’s plea towards the Peshawar Excessive Court docket’s Dec 8, 2015 order.

Agritech Restricted, which manufactures fertiliser from native rock, had challenged the package deal within the PHC, terming it discriminatory.

The PHC in its verdict had declared that that there shouldn’t be any discrimination in distribution of subsidy to fertiliser producers.
