Zimbabwean president threatens to expel US, UK diplomats

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has threatened to expel Western diplomats for allegedly inciting anarchy within the southern African nation, state media reported this week.

“Misbehave and we’ll kick you in your backside,” Mugabe, 91, stated on nationwide tv. “What demons are these folks that they arrive right here and trigger issues? We don’t want the USA and British ambassadors.”

Mugabe’s feedback got here on the opening of the Small to Medium Enterprises Worldwide Expo in Harare.

He added that Britain and the USA have been sponsoring distributors to ignore calls by the federal government to go away the streets and function at designated areas.

Relations between Zimbabwe and the West have been strained since 2002 when Mugabe was slapped with sanctions following allegations of human rights abuses and election rigging.
